Potato Gratin 'Raclette Style'

Ingredients for 6 people:

8 potatoes salt pepper

8 slices of raclette cheese

20 cl liquid cream

1.5 onions

olive oil

salt

pepper

ground nutmeg

Method:

  • Peel the potatoes, slice them thinly, and cook in boiling water for 5–8 minutes, until just tender (but not falling apart).

  • Finely chop the onion and sauté in a little oil until golden.

  • Butter a gratin dish and layer the bottom with potatoes. Add a splash of cream, sautéed onions, salt, pepper, a pinch of nutmeg, and Raclette cheese.

  • Repeat with another layer of potatoes, cream, seasoning, and cheese.

  • Bake at 200°C for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden on top.
