Owner Valérie Henbest’s passion for consuming and promoting cheese and cheese education soon put the shop on the map. No trip to the Central Market is complete without a visit to the Smelly Cheese Shop.

And as we grew, customers from across Australia could also indulge in a decadent array of over 300 cheeses, accompaniments and merchandise.

In 2021, Smelly Cheese Co. was established to incorporate the many facets of the business, including our popular cheese tastings, masterclasses and private events across Australia.
