Feeling Antsy? What began as an experiment with well known chef Jock Zonfrillo, has now evolved into one of the most celebrated cheeses in the world.
Kris Lloyd's Fresh Goat Chèvre is lightly rolled in lemon myrtle herbs and then topped with Native Australian Green Ants. These ants originate from far North Queensland and are farmed under license by First Nations People.
Described as "A sexy, dynamic cheese with great flavour" by Cathy Strange, the handmade chèvre is superbly creamy and light, and the kaffir lime and lemongrass flavoured ants add a sherbert pop against the tangy flavour of the lemon myrtle. It is unorthodox but perfectly balanced. Designed to be enjoyed on its own, this cheese will turn heads and wow tastebuds.
