For over 20 years, we’ve been sourcing the best, and often rarest cheeses from Australia and overseas. We’ve visited the cheese makers and learned the stories and the processes behind the cheese, which we love sharing with our customers.

HOW OFTEN DO I RECEIVE MY CHEESE BOX
You can choose to receive a box every 1, 2 or 3 months. Log in to your personalised profile to update your delivery details and wine selection.
We tailor the cheese subscription box to the seasons, selecting the best cheeses available that month.
ABOUT THE SMELLY CHEESE SHOP
Established in the Adelaide Central Markets in 2001, it was clear from the start that the Smelly Cheese Shop was not just another cheese shop.
Owner Valérie Henbest’s passion for promoting cheese and sharing her vast knowledge soon put the shop on the map. No trip to the Central Markets would be complete without a visit to the Smelly Cheese Shop.
And as the online business grew, customers from across Australia could indulge in a decadent array of over 300 cheeses, accompaniments and merchandise.
In 2021, Smelly Cheese Co was established to incorporate the many facets of the business, including cheese tastings, masterclasses and private events across Australia.

WHEN ARE CHEESE SUBSCRIPTIONS DELIVERED?
We pack and ship cheese subscriptions from Adelaide on the first Monday of the month (or the next day if it’s a public holiday) and will arrive at your home or workplace within 48 hours.
CAN I CHANGE THE FREQUENCY OF MY SUBSCRIPTION?
Yes. You can change the details of your subscription including the frequency and delivery details by logging into your customer account on the store, or from the link in the email confirming your subscription.
HOW IS THE CHEESE PACKED?
We cut and wrap cheese especially for the order and send them out in Thermoguard packaging with gel ice packs and wood wool to protect the cheese.
HOW MUCH CHEESE IS IN EACH BOX?
Each box has four different cheeses, crackers and an accompaniment to the cheese. The weight of each cheese is dependant of the type and individual packaging. For any specific questions please contact us on orders@smellycheese.co
CAN I CHOOSE MY CHEESE?
Our monthly cheese subscription is a specially curated selection of cheese and accompaniments. If you’d like to choose your own cheese, you can head to the online shop.
HOW LONG WILL THE CHEESE LAST?
Take your cheese out of the box and put it in the fridge. You should try to eat your cheese within two weeks of receiving it but it could last longer—just know that that it might not be its best self after a week.
