Smelly Cheese Co
Blugins
In 2015, Antonio Carpenedo and his two sons (Alessandro and Ernesto) celebrated their 50 year anniversary in business. For that very special milestone, they thought of a very special idea – pairing Antonio’s cheeses with various cocktails. Alessandro knew an artisanal gin producer – Roby Marton. Together they spent the next two years experimenting with cheese and gin. The end result is a blue vein cheese that will be massaged with the gin, juniper, cinnamon, and liquorice for a minimum of four months. Blugins presents a sweet and creamy texture, delicate and zingy flavours with a fresh and spicy finish. In the words of the Carpenedo family, Blugins is a blue cheese for those who don’t like blue cheese, and a gin cheese for non-gin drinkers.
